NITRIC ACID 10-68%
HNO₃
Nitric acid is colorless liquid with yellow or red fumes with an acrid odor. Most commercially available nitric acid has a concentration of 68% in water
Precautions for use:
Avoid smoking and use of open fire. Avoid inhalation of vapors and contact with skin and eyes. Apply good industrial practice include wear appropriate PPE. When diluting, the acid should always added slowly to water and in small amounts. Never use hot water or add water to the acid because can cause uncontrolled boiling and splashing

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nitric Acid mostly used for?
Nitric acid is used to dissolve noble metal for etching and cleaning metals, to make organic nitrate and nitro compound. It is also used for the production of ammonium nitrate, a major component of fertilizers
What happens when Nitric Acid is added to water?
The physical reaction taking place when concentrated nitric acid reacts with water is that it decomposes into nitrogen dioxide, water and oxygen which forms a brownish yellow solution
Is Nitric Acid A strong acid?
Yes, nitric acid is considering a strong acid. It completely ionizes or dissociates in water, produces a high concentration of hydrogen ions. Nitric acid is highly corrosive and dissociates almost completely in water, making it a strong acid
What is the pH of Nitric Acid?
pH of 100% Nitric acid is of 3.01. Nitric acid has a concentration of 68% with a pH of 1.
What does Nitric Acid react with?
It reacts with metals, oxides, and hydroxides, forming nitrate salts
Is Nitric Acid safe?
Nitric acid also carries serious health hazards. Nitric acid can cause severe burns to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system. Inhalation can permanently damage mucous membranes and the lungs and cause pulmonary edema. Concentrated nitric acid burns may turn the skin yellow due to a reaction with proteins in the skin
What are the packing sizes available for Nitric Acid?
We supply Nitric Acid in bulk tanker (5000kg, 20000kg), 200L Drum (280kg), 25L Carboy (35kg)
